New Web Cache Servers
Fasten your seat belts, our new web caching servers have
demonstrated performance gains of up to 5 times when loading
web pages and http objects, no matter what speed modem you
are using. These servers are due to be deployed in late May 98.

Mail Server Changes
In case you may have missed, or forgotten about, our previous
e-mail and snail mail notifications regarding Mail Server changes at
ChicagoNet, please note the following:
Mail Server Changes will be in effect Monday, November 24, 1997
at approximately 7:00am. At that time, you will need to change the
following settings in your e-mail client program (Internet Mail,
Netscape Mail, Eudora, etc.) in order to send and receive e-mail:

Change Settings From:
POP3: chicagonet.net
SMTP: chicagonet.net

Change Settings To:
POP3: mail.chicagonet.net
SMTP: mail.chicagonet.net

Your e-mail address will remain the same:
username@chicagonet.net

DNS Server Changes
New Dns service is already in effect.
Please change the primary and secondary DNS settings in your
dialup networking at your earliest convenience to the following:

Primary DNS : 207.252.246.2
Secondary DNS : 207.252.246.5
